A deleted scene from Avengers: Endgame might prove that a well-liked theory about the villain Thanos (Josh Brolin) has been true right along .
The clip, which you'll view on streaming service Disney Plus, is an alternate version of a conversation between Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and therefore the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) featured within the film.
Swintons character are often seen telling Hulk that removing an Infinity Stone creates a replacement timeline. But she then goes on to reveal something that was omitted from the film that shes used the Time Stone to ascertain beyond her very own death.
Its here where she drops the large revelation that Thanoss destructive finger-snap, which exhausted half all existence, didnt actually kill one person.
She explains that, instead of kill people, Thanos willed them out of existence, which made their resurrection possible.
While this conveniently explains why Scarlett Johanssons Latrodectus mactans who died trying to bring everyone back couldnt be resurrected, it also reveals what might be a future issue for the heroes, namely that Thanos remains alive.
Avengers: Endgame ended with Tony Stark snapping his fingers and wiping out Thanos and his army, much within the same way that Thanos exhausted half the Avengers.
If all those that were willed out of existence can return within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then Thanos certainly can.
Exactly how the seriess writers could bring him back may be a mystery, but perhaps therell be another villain looking to enlist the services of the Mad Titan for his or her future plans.
Either way, its probably nice for Marvel bosses to understand that they will bring back Thanos should they ever want to.
